Andrew doesn't believe in Santa Claus

Because:
  • Reindeer can't carry that heavy of a load while flying, and
  • Reindeer can't even fly, and
  • People can't go down chimneys, and
  • No one can live at the North Pole. It's too cold.
So there. We told him that only kids who believe in Santa get presents from him. He's fine with that, because he'll just get his presents from Mom and Dad, thank you very much.

His theories sound pretty reasonable. Does anyone have a rebuttal?

Ethan and Emma, by the way, do not subscribe to Andrew's heresies. Ethan is taking a wait and see approach (as in "let's see what happens on Christmas morning") while Emma remains a steadfast believer.

Hummmmm, so Andrew the wise one does not believe in Santa. Does he know the magic of Santa and that he is the spirit of giving and loving? If he thinks of it that way he will believe in the magic!..Golly I still do.

My friend Dionne overheard her son telling his older sister that Santa doesn't exists and that it's really just your parents that leave presents. Dionne covered by saying that as soon as the kids stop believing in him, Santa stops coming, and so there is a year in between when Santa doesn't come and then the parents have to take up the slack. (How did ya like that run-on??) I don't remember when I stopped believing.

As for the rebuttal, Santa is magic. None of the "reasonable" points stand.

I had a college professor who would not tell his kids about Santa, because he thought it was just like telling them about Jesus. They are both magic men who you can't see, and who reward you for being good or bad.
