I always look forward to your "overheards." I never heard of licking a cookie. However, my Dad told me that one day his mother made some cookies for company and wouldn't let him have one, so he spat on them. Therefore, he didn't get any cookies but a swat on the derriere.

When we did that as kids, we made sure everyone saw us take a long, slippery lick on the cookie.
Now I hide the cookie. :)
Next time he will hide it too.
