We found a moth today


(See Andrew's blog.) The moth was bright white, which was cool, but even better was the fact that the moth looked like the fallen flower petals it was resting by. In the photo above, one of the flower petals is on the left. Like a nature show right on our front porch!

This post reminds me of the Gene Stratton-Porter books. Are you guys familiar with them? She wrote novels and nature books. A lot of them are about the Limberlost which is (or maybe used to be - I think they drained it?) in Indiana. She'd probably know all about that moth. And you probably know all about her . . . but I thought I'd tell you anyway. :)
