It is 12:42AM. I decided to turn on the computer and post these now, just in case the power goes out in the next 24 hours.
This is the view out the back door, which is frozen shut. (That is ice covering the glass, for all you Californians):
This is our street. It looks like it is covered in snow. That white stuff is not snow; it is ice.

Yikes. Hope you have lots of blankets and hot chocolate. Bet Ginger is so sad she picked this week to go to AZ.
hopefully, no one is leaving the house today, for any reason. It was -20 here this morning. :)
how is it going to melt? that's what i wonder about here, too. it's not supposed to get above freezing until Friday.
Toooooo Cold for me. Glad I live here even though the wind is blowing hard today. The sun is out and of course it is only 62 but then that is cold for me. Don't think I could survive where you are ! Take care, stay warm and stay inside!
And the Ice Queen left her palace???
The iced appears so eerie at night.

it was in the low 60's today...and true to california style--heck yeah i complained! im feeling better though--just looked at my phone-it will be 76 by saturday--BAM!
Great pictures. Watch your step.
Christina--no one was really driving on it. Everyone pretty much stayed indoors for the last three days.
Just back from visiting Vasseur's in Florida for two weeks where I watched the snow and ice on the television screen in 80 degree comfort.
Wow, the snow is waaaaay up over my head, there's four feet of it on the roof, there's no place for my dog to run.
No more, please.
